Hello everyone,

My Experience with Bobbi Brown Skin Clarifier No. 75 – Pore and Oil Control:

All my life, starting from teenage, I have had acne issues, which has resulted in scars and marks on my facial skin. I also have open pores and blemishes on my facial skin. However, in the last six years, my acne problem had completely vanished. However, recently any kind of negligence results in breakouts. Hence, I decided to buy this Bobbi Brown Skin Clarifier No. 75 – Pore and Oil Control, which claims to de-clog the pores, clarify the skin and maintain oil balance without stripping the skin.

Bobbi Brown Skin Clarifier No. 75 - Pore and Oil Control Front

It’s a yellow coloured, oil textured treatment. After application my skin does not feel greasy or tacky. As mentioned, two to three drops are enough. It works gradually – no instant miracles or results. It can be applied under moisturisers, primers, makeup, foundations or just by itself during the night. I have used it under products which tend to clog my pores and this treatment has protected my skin and avoided clogging.

I have also applied this treatment on my face when I had breakouts and it did not worsen them, but then it didn’t instantly heal them either. The usual two-three day’s time is required to heal. It does not dry or irritate my sensitive skin. Initially, I used to apply this treatment oil at night time after cleansing my facial skin and could easily skip applying moisturiser. However, as the weather has changed for good, I have to make sure I use a moisturiser above this skin-clarifying treatment. Otherwise, it tends to make my sensitive skin dry, which anyway tends to dry during autumn and winters.

In my opinion, this treatment helps de-clog the pores, helps heal acne to some extent, prevents blemishes, balances oil levels, helps tone skin and promotes a healthy skin. In short, it is more of a preventive treatment as far as acne and blemishes are concerned. Since the weather has changed, I am using this treatment on and off, not on a regular basis.

In my opinion, it is suitable for normal, oily, combination skin types; dry skin types can use it with a moisturiser, however, very dry and hypersensitive skin types can skip this skin clarifier. This is my personal opinion, which definitely can vary from person to person depending on their skin texture.
