DOGGEREL BANK-SILVER FACES, LP, 1973, UK

The first of two albums by this fantastic, forgotten and determinedly wacky UK outfit, Silver Faces is probably best understood as a quintessentially British spin on the sorta absurdist polit-rock of Germany's Floh De Cologne (particularly circa Fliessbandbaby's Beat Show), though the particular (sub)cultural lens it's being viewed through here renders the results somewhere between Monty Python,
